It was a nice night in the Prancing Pony Inn, filled with the usual drinks and happiness. At least, that's the way it should have been.
Alas! an orc patrol came from the shadows and lit fire on the roof of the Inn. Panic was everywhere and people began to scramble out of the place as fast as they could. The orcs tried to shoot as many people as possible. Help was needed, but no heroes or warriors were to be found. The town seemed to be in trouble, deep trouble, unless someone arrived to help: and soon...

Eowyn was playing around in the nearby forests, minding her own business; picking flowers from the grassy ground. She was happily singing a song; lost totally in her own mind when she suddenly heard an ear piercing yell. Eowyn is startled and takes a few steps back, only to trip over the hem of her teal dress and cause her to fall down; making her vision fade to black and an easy target for the forces of evil...

get up!
Said a harsh voice. It held a viciously sharp knife to eowyn's back.

Eowyn finally comes back to her senses and she sees an orc, as orcish as can be, standing right by her with a knife in hand. She decides to follow orders in the meantime, then do her best to escape (after spying on the enemy). "Why should I?" she asks, her courage getting the better of her. She then sees the orcs smile and stands up, her hand falling to her sword; though she doesn't intend to use it, not yet...
*Where now the horse and the rider right when I need them* Eowyn thinks to herself while waiting for the orc's reply...

why? because i have a long knife and a very short temper and it would be such a shame if my hand slipped
She said giving eowyn a sharp jab in the back.
Now get up!

The jab cuts part of the back of Eowyn's dress. Now her gown was not only splashed with dirt from her fall but torn in the back as well. However, the shiled maiden of Rohan doesn't seem to care one single bit! She gets up, though her hand can't resist from being on her sword's hilt.
"You can take me away for now, Grubby," she says with a mischevious smile, "though once the second Éored comes you will not be so lucky!"
Eowyn then follows Grubby's lead into the depths of the night...

~a pleasant home down the road from the prancing pony, and the orcs have proceeded from the inn to the houses...~
father! *corrin briarthorn coughed heavily from the smoke that was fast envelloping him. he tried to move, but the beam from the ceiling that had fallen on him kept his torso to the floor, and breathing even harder.* imrel, take sarla and get out. now! but-! i only just got her back, and i don't want her life- or yours, for that matter- in jeopardy. leave. *the small ginger haired girl who had been standing quietly in the corner spoke up.* papa, let us help you- LEAVE NOW! *clenching back tears, imrel grabbed her sister by the wrist and hauled her away from their fathre.* come on, sar. *pulls back.* im, have you gone mad? we can't leave him! i'll come back for him, but i have to get you to safety. i'm not a little child! *wrenches sarla's forearm.* this isn't the time! *tears now running freely down her face, imrel led her younger sister away from corrin and a stream of flames cut him off from them. the girls fled the house, sarla howling like a baby.* *screaming.* papa! *still with sarla by the wrist, imrel ran down the street away from the attackers, into the darkness where there was no fire.*

Sure, Imrel. Go ahead! I hope more join us as well!
Eowyn had been walking by Grubby's side for a long time, for almost a whole day, stubbing briefly only while the orc cut up a rabbit and ate it all, not offering a single piece. Eowyn was hungry, though she was disgusted by the orc's eating manners in the meanwhile and felt as if she couldn't take a single bite of food right now.
Pretty soon Grubby had led her to the edge of the town, right by the Prancing Pony, which was all up in flames. Villagers were running frantically all around the place, trying to escape from the orcs which were trying to take over the area. Eowyn saw a little girl shouting and screaming for her father, as well as a figure all in red in the distance. *Imrel!* she thought to herself. *She's here as well!* Eowyn wanted to go and help, to do something in this war. But alas! her hands were bound behind her back and Grubby was at her side. The shield maiden tried to get out of reach, but Grubby just stomped on her foot, not letting Eowyn go.
Pretty soon an orc captain came up and began speaking to Grubby in the foul tongue of Mordor. While Eowyn was there as well and Grubby was talking, the shield maiden though of how to escape and a plan began to form in her head....

Grubby finishes talking to her captain and he walks off. She turns back to watch Eowyn
Stop it!
Grubby kicks her.
I know what you're thinking and I'd strongly advise against it. I don't need much of an excuse to kill you. Sit down you'll need your legs later I don't want to carry you.
Grubby sits down and tosses some grey bread and a flask of water at Eowyn.

(oop. sorry mel, i was posting at the same time as you.)
papa! my father's in there, my- *firebird didn't see melody, concentrating on getting sarla away as she calls back to melody.* we'll come back, song, i promise. *they continue running, both with tears running down their faces like rainwater.* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i want papa. hush, sarla. *the two sisters were crouched behind the meadowgreens' jewellery shop, hidden behind some shrubbery, waiting for a group of orcs to pass before they moved on.* and what about jayan and torry, and their parents? we haven't seen them, we don't know if they're safe. torry's out of town, and... well, the meadowgreens can look after themselves. *watches the orcs.* we haven't seen them captured, have we? no... but... they're going. come on. *they both get up cautiously, edging along the back walls of shops and houses as quickly as they can without drawing attention to themselves. imrel stops abruptly as she sees someone across the street she recognizes. flattens herself against the wall and peers round the corner. motions sarla to keep back, and whispers to her.* it's eowyn... *also whispering.* who? eowyn, a friend of mine, you don't know her... an orc has her... you want to help her? *shakes her head.* i have to get you to safe- *hits her on the shoulder.* forget that! i'm only a year younger than you, im. *sighs.* you're right... i'm sorry. it's just that... the last time i saw you... you were only seven... so how are we going to help eowyn? duck. huh? duck! *turns and shoves sarla into the shadows of the back doorway. slips in too and they both crouch down, remaining inconspicuous as possible as more orcs pass by.*

*melody dowses herself in watter from a horse trowl, and runs into the berning house, she finds the girls father traped under a beem, and trys to lift it, useing another beem as a lever, and a small table as a piont in the middle, the beam is lifted. she puts something hevy on the other side of the wood plank, know she will only have a minit to get him out before the house colapsis in on itself. she grabs his feet and pulls, he clears the beem, she lifts him up so he can half walk and they exit the building, a few steps away the house colapsis behind them. *

*Rides up the road to Bree as the street is crossed by an all familiar but rarely seen trace this far west.* Orcs! Hurry, Arian! *A few miles later, she can already smell smoke in the air. Leaving the trees behind, Bree lies before her, a thick dark cloud hiding the town's center. Dismounts her horse* Be a good girl and hide somewhere in the forest. I'll come back as soon as I can. *Sends Arian off, knowing the horse's abilities to hide, especially when orcs are around. Backs off into the underwood and starts to run around the town, surveying the scene and looking for a safe spot to enter the city.*

now? wait... now! *the girls spring out of the doorway and dash across the street. they dive quickly into the shadows a few yard behind eowyn and grubnosh, trying to devise a plan to free her.* *something suddenly occurs to sarla.* firebird... do you have a friend who's an elf? that's a bit vague. and keep your voice down. well, she was tall, and had long, dark brown hair... and.. blue eyes, i think... she looked more like a sea elf than a wood elf to me. what? that could've been melody... was she in trouble? no, she was outside our house. she called to us. i didn't hear her. well we don't need to worry about her right now, but we could maybe try and find her after we're sure eowyn's safe. right... what if we both tackled the orc? gave her time to run? too risky. if we got her attention, maybe i could distract the orc so you could get away. but then won't we have to rescue you? when i say "distract the orc", i don't mean i'll actually be getting close... *pats her quiver.* *sarla ducks down and leans forward carefully. whispers to the sheild maiden, trying not to let grbby hear.* psst... hey eowyn! over here!

The pain in Eowyn's leg from Grubby's kick was still there while she was having a bit of stale bread, though she didn't touch the water; knowing that the water's of Mordor were rumored to be poisonous. She then heard something from behind the bush and turned her head around slightly to see Imrel and another girl looking quite similar next to her.
"Imrel!" Eowyn says, keeping her voice low despite her great excitement. She gets up quietly while Grubby was still busy talking in a loud orcish voice in the foul tongue..
Eowyn snoops over to where Imrel and the other girl were and hides by them, hoping Grubby didn't notice soon...
"My hands are bound together!" Eowyn whispers. "That means I won't be able to fight when the time arrives unless the bonds are cut loose." She glances down at her hip and realizes that Grubby forgot to take her sword away! "My sword is still here, I believe that it's blade could still slay a dark creature or two..."
Eowyn fixes her gaze on Grubby shortly and realizes that the orc is almsot done talking. "We'd better move on ahead. Thanks so much for helping me out..." Eowyn says to Firebird quietly, not wanting to talk too much incase Grubby found them hiding!
~Note~ I won't be here for the next week or two, which means no internet acess and no more posts from Eowyn! In the meanwhile, I give permission for everyone involved in the Bree War (aye, I mean it!) to write out my actions and dialogue, for I do not wish to fall behind too much. I don't mind what I do in the war, but please don't get me killed of! A wound or two is natural, usually happens in that type of situation, but please keep me in this! Thank you so much!
