Riding on Raindew for only a few minutes, Callissa and Eowyn come by another house soon. This one is not on fire, but the barn sure was! The family was rushing in and out with buckets of water, while the neigh or horses and moos of cows could easily be heard.
"Callissa! Stay here! I'll help. Stay where it's safe!" Eowyn tells Callissa as she jumps of Raindew and runs up to a man who just dumped a bucket of water on the barn.
"I'm Eowyn. I have come to help you out. Please give me a bucket so I can help with putting the fire out." Eowyn says, talking quickly as not to waste time.
"I'm Timop," the man said as he pointed to a pile of buckets stacked in the corner. "Good to find help, talk to you later!" Timop then ran back into the house for more water...
Eowyn ran over to where the buckets were and picked one up. She then went over and got some water. Now about eight or so people were helping put the fire out. After going back and forth for water about five times, Eowyn saw that the barn was getting a bit better. The animals were still crying helplessly, though nobody could enter yet...

(Moving ahead a little, if that's alright.)
*Quite some time later that night, Imrel and the survivors she has found are gathered at the meeting place outside of town. There are thirty odd in all, about half of whom are adults. *A still nervous Rudi is grazing nearby, while Im asssists an elderly Hobbit and her son treat the injured, Brem among them. They have had only one fatality; the father of the second family found, who had been bleeding internally. His eldest son is digging a grave for him. *The dead man's widow, who is looking after a now sleeping Kisna, approaches the "hospital" area and asks when they can take back their town. She has a fierce, almost vengeful look in her eyes.* When we've taken care of the wounded, and when my friends show up with the rest of the survivors. *Kneels down again and ties the bandage around Brem's knee.*

Has been crawling along the city wall to check the backyards for orcs or survivors. Tries to wind herself through a thorny hedge when she hears a moan. Brushing off some leaves she peers around the corner. Another neglected yard with a building nothing more than a small shed lies before her. There are no traces of fire, everything seems to be intact. *Might be a trap....* Silently she draws her sword and approaches the building cautiously......

OOC: Good idea, Imrel. We can't take forever!
After going back and forth with water many times, the barn was somewhat saved. Aye, the right side was pretty much almost in ashes, though the left end was still standing - though mostly in ruins! The horses and cows were making lots of noise and Eowyn thought better not to leave without them.
"Quickly! We have to get the animals out!" She shouted over to the others and motioned for Timop to follow. Timop and the shield maiden went into the barn carefully and tried to find their way around to the animals. The wooden planks were weak from the fire and many a time Timop and Eowyn nearly had one fall on their heads!
Pretty soon they reached the animals. Some of the horses' manes and tails were slightly singed while the cows couldn't keep quiet! Eowyn ran up to them, jumping away from the fallen debris. She stroked the horses and told them to stay calm while Timop took care of the cows.
Pretty soon the two of them began to take the animals out, though it was slow, slow, work...

Holds her breath and opens the door. A few angry chicken almost fly into her face. As the ray of sunlight spills over the floor, a heap of dirty cloth moves in a corner. * Who are you! Do you need help?* There's a hiss and suddendly two yellow orc eyes stare at her. *Allright! You can have it the hard way or, as you're already wounded, just surrender. It's your choice!* The creature seems to consider her words for a moment, the lungs forward with a knive drawn. She just steps aside and let's it rush past, grabbing a piece of cloth and pulling hard. The orc lands on it's back, staring at the tip of her sword at it's throat. *Fine! Now turn around, slowly....* She puts a knee on it's back and grabs a pice of rope from a nail next to the door. SHe secures the hands tightly, then hobbles the feet so that the orc still can walk with small steps.* Start moving! * They walk out of the nearest gate as she tries to find her companions.*

*Outside of town, Imrel's group have started a small campfire to keep them warm and provide at least a little light in the pitch darkness. Most of the children are fast asleep or dozing, and there have fortunately been no more deaths. The elderly Hobbit who is acting as the group's docter however, is fretting over her month old grandaughter, a tiny creature who isn't breathing much. *Leans into the elder son of the second family, who has been a great help during the whole ordeal.* Matt, I'm a little worried about how long the others have been. I'm going back into town to see if they need extra help, and I want you to look after the group until I return. *Matt nods his acknowledgement. Imrel starts towards Bree, but turns briefly and adds* Don't move from here unless any Orcs appear; if they do, make for the woods. *Ten minutes later, Imrel is stalking through the abandoned rubble of houses, or barns... It's hard to distinguish some of them. Hears movement up ahead, and instincively dives for cover. Peers nervoulsy out from the charred bush that is her cover, and squints to make sense of the scene. *An Orc is walking awkwardly down the street, as it if were struggling against something. The "something", Im realizes with a sigh of relief as the Orc turns aside, is Rhia. Gets up and walks to her. The Orc snarls unwelcomingly but can't do anything.* Rhia, good to see you again. Need a hand?

Eowyn and Timop finally brought the last cow out of the barn. The poor animal's tail was badly burned and it had a slight wound on it's left ribs. This was probably the animal which survived with the worst conditions. The whole group of about a dozen people were all around the animals and tending them. Callissa had gotten of Raindew now and was holding a small chicken in her hands. The orcs seemed to have either taken or killed all of the others. Eowyn was currenly tending a wild black stallion who quite frankly went hyper during the fire.
Eowyn suddenly called out, "Is there anything else left behind which we should take? Or should we hurry on and rescue others?"

*Waves* Hi Imrel! Thanks, I think I can handle this one. *Grins* Just make sure the survivors don't finish this orc off before we could ask some questions.

*Grins.* But of course. I'm going to find Eowyn and Melian, want to come? Or you could join the bree folk just outside of town.

I think I'll take our prisoner to the meeting place. I don't want an orc to shuffle through the entire city. Who knows if there aren't more, hiding somwhere. I don't want to risk more casualties by provoking an orc rescue mission...

Right. Well, just straight down that way from here... *Points.* And keep going till you see the group. If you don't see them, something's gone wrong. I'll meet up with you later, alright? *Dashes off down the road.*
(Question: Are we allowed to RP NPCs that others made up?)

Imrel's Question: I don't know. I'm not a GM or an Admin to have the final word on it. On the other hand, I began this post. I'd say yes, though I guess Rhia knows more about it.
The group which Eowyn was with decided to go in search of others. Timop was leading the way on his dark chestnut horse which Eowyn, who was riding on Raindew with Callissa was right behind him. There were others on horses while some were walking and holding ropes with which cows were led. Suddenly Eowyn gets of her horse and goes to the back of the group.
She sees a mother holding a child, obviously very wary and tired. "Would you like to ride on Raindew?" Eowyn asks, gently touching the child which the woman was carrying. "The road may be hard and it would help you..."

ooc: I'd say it's fine as most NPCs are normal citizens of Bree here, right? So you can interact with any of them. But it's Éowyn's story and therefor her choice.
bic: *Finally finds the group. As they see the orc, some men get up, grabbing whatever might be used as a weapon.* Easy, gentlemen, this is my prisoner and as such the orc is under my protection. We have a lot of questions that need answers that might prevent more attacks.* She leads the orc to a tree a few meters off the crowd and ties him up. She slowly reaches into her belt and uncorks her water bottle. The eyes of the orc light up and with a snarl he shows his fangs. *Now, behave! Or I might reconsider keeping this people from killing you right now.* Carefully she lets some water flow into his mouth.

(Ooc: Thanks.)
*Matt, the young man in charge of the group, joins Rhia, looking at the Orc prisoner with a mixture of curiosity, agression, and the slightest trace of fear.* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eowyn! *Doesn't risk calling out, on the chance of more Orcs. Darts forth from the shadows and joins Eowyn's group. Walking alongside her, speaks audibly but still quietly.* I was wondering where you get gotten to. Have you gathered everyone from your area, or are you still working at it?
