Urk hag! " Orders Grubhosh no spoiling" Skai! I'll tell 'im where to stick his orders.... globurz nardur
there is the sound of a stick being broken somewhere to her right and Grubhosh turns round to find Eowyn gone. She curses softly and slinks off in the direction of the noise careful not to make a sound.

*talks quietly.* hold very still... *slips out a penknife from her pocket, and flips the blade up. saws carefully through the rope binding eowyn's wrist, until it's loose enough that her hands and free. *firebird glances at grubnosh, and she's she has gone.* she's not there... we should leave while we can. come on. *takes her sister her the hand, and the three sneak quietly up the road. it's not long before they reach the war and flame torn street where the prancing pony is. *imrel shudders angrily.* let's find melody. if we hope to fight back the orcs, we'll need all the friends we can get. *the trio head back to the blazing heap of wood and thatch that is the briarthorn cottage, hoping melody is still nearby.*

*Reaches the place where the underwood almost grows up to the city walls. Climbs the old wall quickly and finds herself in the backyard of Tjolkerry's Pottery. This part of the town seems to be still silent. Slowly sneaks over to the gate, taking a look up and down the street. Nobody is to be seen. Dashes over into the shadows of another house and turns into a small and dark lane, leading to the center.*

melody! *imrel, sarla and eowyn run to her franctically.* *the first thing sarla notices is who is lying at the sea elf's feet.* oh no... papa! out the way, sar. *crouches down and listens to her dad's chest.* he's alive... *delves in her bag and finds what she needs right at the bottom.* sit him up. *eowyn and sarla do so, an imrel carefully unscrews the lid of the tiny crystal bottle she is holding between her thumb and forefinger. opens corrin's mouth and lets a drop of the colorless cordial fall into it. *gradually, the breeman's breathing comes steadily and his eyelids flicker. assured he is safe for now, firebird stands up and embraces a rather surprised melody.* thank you saving him! *lets her go.* thank you so much. *turns to the others.* come on, it's not safe here. papa, can you walk? s-sarla... we have to help him. here... *takes him by one arm, and eowyn takes the other.* i reckon we ought to get out of town so we can safely devise a plan to take back bree. what do the rest of the think?

The trail went cold when grubby reached Bree. It was impossible to smell anything with all the smoke and there were no track to suggest where they might've gone. She lent against a house and watched the town burn.

*the four girls, with corrin, reach the outskirts of bree. firebird and songbird (sarla) lay down corrin gently on his side, propping his head up on fire's rolled up cloak. imrel stands to talk to the others, with her back to bree so she doesn't have to look at her home in flames.* all right. we need a way to drive the orcs back and save bree while there is still a bree to save. strategics is not my strong point, but i'm betting we are going to need more than a few people. my idea is for us to split up, search the town for survivors, bring them back here and rally our forces... *sighs.* mel, you have more battle experience than me. any input?

*Thick smoke swirls through the air as she makes her way towards the center. She stops at a well, reaches into her belt for a piece of cloth and drenches it in a bucket of water. Puts it over her mouth and nose and walks on into the direction of the screams.*

Out of topic: I'm at the net cafe and will just make a post for now. Thanks for keeping me in this. I'll return back from this vacation (if I can call it a vacation, I don't think it's the right term! oh well...) in less than a week, so that's the good news for now. By the way, the keyboard here is messed up especially the z and the y, so I apologize about weird spellings...
****Back to the story!****
"Strategies, now let me see," Eowyn says as she wipes her hands on her tattered emerald green dress, leaving dark stains.
After thinking for a while, the shield-maiden gets an idea, though she wonders if it shall work. "Aye," Eowyn begins, "I agree with Imrel here, though we should stay in groups of two incase someone tries to attack. Defence shall be easier that way, persuasion for people to join us as well. Does everyone have weapons?" Eowyn asks, remembering her close luck that Grubby didn't take her sword.
Eowyn looks at the others, hoping to get something done and soon. She takes a look at the burning town and holds back the tears. But suddenly a thought jumps into her head and she says outloud, "Raindew! My mare! She's back in the stables by the Prancing Pony and the inn is on fire! I have to go save her!"
Eowyn puts her hand on the hilt of her sword, an old move whenever danger was near. She wanted to save Raindew, and FAST!

*Has reached the Prancing Pony and shouts for her friends. Nobody answers. Making her way through the door, she can see that the Inn is deserted. Just as she sighs with relief, she can hear a few horses in the stable. Runs over to the building. * Ok, easy....yeah, that's fine....Hey, aren't you Éowyn's horse? Where is she? *Looks around worried* Éowyn? .....Well, we better find her, right? *Unties the horses. Takes off her belt and puts it around Raindew's neck. Chases the other horses out of the stable.* Now....where could she be...? I'll let you lead the way, my girl. *They walk out into the street again.*

well... alright then... *watches after eowyn, then turns back to melody.* i'm going back to see if i can find anyone. *jumping up anxiously.* me too, let me come... *looks concernedly at corrin.* papa? *corrin coughs dully.* right. sarla, come with me then... mel, would you please stay here with my father? just until he's well, or till we come back... *with that, dashes back towards the town with sarla at her heel. it has just occured to her that rudi and olne, their horses, were also left in the pony's stables.*
(ooc: i left you there, mel, as you're away, hope that's all right...)

Eowyn was running through the burning town to the stables as fast as she could, but she suddenly halted for a break; though she wished she could go on. She turned around and saw Imrel and Sarla coming.
"Don't tell me your horses are in danger too!" Eowyn exclaims, her blule-gray eyes almost in tears at the thought of losing her mare, Raindew, as well as any other horse.
The three girls continue running through the town when Eowyn suddenly hears a loud neigh coming from a horse. *I must be imagining it!* she thought as she continued running towards the stables...

"Rhia!" Eowyn shouts happily as she runs over to Rhia. The shield maiden sees her mare, Raindew and gives the horse a hug. "I thought I would never see you again!" Eowyn whispers to her horse, wishing she had a carrot to give to Raindew.
Turning to Imrel, Sarla and Rhia, she says, "We'd better return to where Mel is and come up with a plan. I suggest we each get on a horse and ride. It will be faster that way. There is a fifth one for Melody, though Corrin still isn't too well. Perhaps we should take turns watching him while the others help save the town."
Suddenly an orc jumps out from the bushes, an ugly blade in it's foul hand. Eowyn turns around and draws her sword, surprising the orc and beheading him whilst he tried to stab her. "See what I mean?" Eowyn asks, eyeing the dead orc with disgust on her face...
