aulus smiled widely as imrel greeted them. "but ofcourse i pulled trow the battle imrel, i just stayed behind to bury the brave soldiers that died for the others. and this little guy here is called dracis, i found him on the way here." he looked at all the young children sleeping weary of the long road to helms deep. "poor children... did none of the parents show up yet?"

*Ignores his question.*
Wait a minute, did you say Dracis? Stay- stay right there-
*She turns and bolts off into the fortress, calling out.*
Santien- Santien!
*The sound of her voice dies away as she continues her search. Several minutes later, she emerges, pulling along the weary, tousle haired mother by the hand. Points to Aulus and Dracis.*
He's right there.
*Santien stops dead, staring, then runs towards her son, tears of joy and relief leaking down her face.*
Dracis!
*Hugs him tightly.*
Oh, you have no idea how worried I've been...

aulus smiled widely and was going to walk away but dracis said [glow=red,2,300]thank you aulus.[/glow] aulus smiled and turned around "your welcome dracis, take care of your mother ok?" dracis nodded hapily and aulus walked over to imrel. "well thats one family back together..." he then whisperd into imrels ear "i think its best that you tell his mother that her husband did not survive the battle. dracis was lucky to escape the wargs but his father had to pay whit his life...." he then turned back to the gate and looked at the horizon.

*Im's head drops a little, and deciding there's no point in putting it off, she takes Santien by the hand and pulls her to one side. She mutters a news to her, and watches sadly as the woman's expression becomes pained. Instead of letting grief overtake her, Santien holds back her tears and goes back to her son. She smiles comfortingly at him, picks him up gently, and returns to the refuge of the Deep.
*Imrel walks over to Aulus.*
Thank you. I'm glad she could at least have her son returned to her.
*Pats him on the shoulder, then goes back to where she left Hamneth and Hallien, both of whom are now fast asleep. Sits down by them, removes her cloak, and covers the children snugly with it.*

The soldier leans with his elbows resting on the parapet, it would not be long now. The men of the mark could not hold out for long against the army of Saruman. He thinks about the women and children if only there was a way to save them, this would be the last stand of the Rohirrim.

aulus hung his head and looked at the ground, so many brave soldiers already lost and the army of saruman hadent even atacked yet. he walked over to imrel and said "arent there any elves or dwarves or even ents who can come and help us in our time of need?" he looked at the horizon and tryd to figure out the time it would take to bring together an army strong enough to defeat sarumans forces.

*Looks up at him sleepily.*
I think I've seen a few of the Fair Folk among us... Melian, for example.
*Sighs, clasping Hamneth's cold hand in hers.*
Though reinforcements would truly be a blessing... But we have to accept the fact that we're probably on our own.

aulus looked around and slamed one hand on the other. "no! i will not acept that we are on our own, there must be others willing to help us in our time of need. i must find the king and ask for his fastest horse if our luck hold i might be able to return whit a good number of men dwarves elves and if they are willing ents." he gave imrel a pat on her shoulder and walked away trying to find king theoden.

Éowyn comes back to the center of Helm's Deep after finding the mother of the lost children.
"Does anyone know where King Théoden went to?" she asks. "I must speak to him."

*Is slightly heartened to see Eowyn no longer carrying the baby, wondering if this means he has been returned to his family. Gets up from where she sits with the other two children and walks over.*
I'm afraid I don't know to tell you, but you might follow Aulus. He's looking for the king also.

"Thanks, Imrel," Éowyn says, then turns to Aulus. "Aulus, I am in search of the King as well. A horse can be provided, it's only his permission which must be granted. Do you want to search inside the Hornburg first?"

"Most certainly. I wonder how long we'll be until the Uruk Hai arrive and the battle begins," she says, walking past some of the refugees and constantly keeping an eye out for her King.
