In the heart of the Bree, a town where Men and Hobbits reside peacefully together, is the bustling inn run by Barliman Butterbur. There is a cosy yet buzzing atmosphere, especially when the common room meets its full capacity of citizens and strangers enjoying ale and warm milk on those chilled winter evenings. Numerous doors lead off from the main room, many of which take guests to their rooms. Those interested in staying the night have only to ask the jovial innkeeper.
We come to the inn on this rainy afternoon when nearly all the guests of the Pony have returned to dry off before the crackling fire. Butterbur is dozing behind the bar, enjoying the temporary lull as his customers all enjoy their broth around the fireside tables.

The Witch King sauntered into the inn, shutting out the cold night. He made his way to the bar, ordered a bottle of Morgul brandy and took up residence in his usual seat in the corner.

*Gets washed through the door right after the Witch King, each of her step leaving puddles of water on the floor* Whoops.... *Puts her soaked cloak over a chair next to the fire. Sees the Witch King sitting in his usual corner and walks over to take her seat there, too.* Good evening.

*Looks up and gestures to a chair across from his.*
Ahh Rhiannon...
Good, good. Glad you made it.
*In front of him was a large jug of wine. He poured out a glass and handed it to her.
He took out a scroll from his cloak and unfurled it on the table.*
Plans for the festival..
*He said as way of an explanation.*
We will hold it on the Shire village green again and we can borrow the same marquees as last year. But we need to decide what entertainment to have on offer, what sort of catering, music and any other ideas. The festival is for the enjoyment of all Eriadorians and therefore everyones input is of the utmost importance.
*He sat back in his chair and sipped his wine.*

Legolas walks into the inn, unfastening his cloak and hanging it on the rack by the door. He spots the Witch King at a far table and approaches with a smile.
Greetings, my friend. Might I join you?

The prince nods and takes a seat, accepting the wine gratefully.
I know not that any of my ideas would be considered great... but, as for refreshments, I've come to offer the wine of Mirkwood.

Grubby slinks through the door she nearly slinks back out again when she see the witch King, Legolas and Rhi sitting at a table in the corner. But she couldn't resist an opportunity to voice her opinions on those little-sausage-things-wrapped-up-in-bacon. In Mordor (if the cook was in a good mood) you just got gived a sasauge and a bit of bacon and told you to do it yourself! ai the injustice of it all. She finishes day dreaming about food and finds that she's ordered a pint and sat herself down at the Witch Kings table.
I did all me chores before I came out 'ere M'lord
she says quickly before Witchy could say anything she didn't want to give him an excuse to have a go at her.
I got an idea how about some of the tiny sasauges wrapped up in bacon. oo and them bits of pineapple and cheese on cocktail sticks ?

after months of disapearence the large hooded man called aulus looked at the door of the prancing pony again. he wondered if he should go in an join the laughter and happyness he haddent met anyone for a long time but he didnt want to either, the times of being alone by him self had made him harder and more silent then ever. after a small inner strugle aulus opend the door of the pony and stepped in, butterbur looked around to face aulus. [glow=red,2,300]havent seen you here in ages wanderer.[/glow] aulus bowd his head as people still knew him. he nodded and orderd a large botle of ale. whit his drink in his hand he walked to see if there were any good seats left but his favorit spots were occupied already so he made his way to a small table at the window. he looked out of the window drinking his ale.

*Kicks the door open savagely, clearly annoyed.*
No one, no one, I swear, in this place, has even an ounce of common sense.
If there's a Ringwraith hammering away at the gate, you don't bolt it and try to hide. You open it and let the Ringwraith through before he runs it down with the horse. And now Horsie's in a bad mood too. Splinters somewhere in his hoof.
Bloody hell.

Yay Jared! ;D
*The Witch King grinned as his old friend stomped angrily across the room. He stopped himself from waving excitedly at the sight of another wraith. Instead he reached for the wine jug and poured out drinks for Jared and Aulus. He even gave a small measure to the Orc as she'd done all her chores. Taking a lump of charcoal from his pocket he started to scribble down a list.*
Right....so far we have:
Mirkwood Wine
things on sticks??
Anymore ideas?

Grubby pretends to look thoughtful. In her mind there were no thoughts beyond sasages and hopefully the others would do the more strenuous thinking. Her eyes stray to Legolas, she looks at him wistfully for a few seconds then back at her drink. Then unbidden a idea reared it's ugly head..
how 'bout a piñata?
she grins, lacking any sweets and anything to make a piñata out of one of the snaga tied to the ceiling made a great alternative.
(OOC did i spell piñata right?)

One of an Elf?
I don't usually support vegetables, but maybe we should have some salad this year. I think the Elves would like it.
