Can we try and see beyond the whole food thing here?
Obviously the food is an integral part of the festival and the main reason way most of the orcs turn up, but I was kind of thinking more along the lines of entertainment: Do we want the Mordor Boys back again? Even though their appearance fees are extortionate now since Pustulus the Strangler won the 'Rear of the year' award - Or do we take a gamble on one of the up and coming bands like Elf Slayer, Black Orc Down, Lorien Park or Limp Balrog? I hear the latter are very popular on the Barad-Dur underground scene. And what about stalls selling merchandise? They were quite popular last year. Or I thought we could have different areas within the festival. A Dark side Mosh Pit has been suggested by some of the Orc soldiers and in contrast, and to prevent all the Elfs moaning at me as usual, I thought we could have a 'Rivendell' area for relaxing and other Elf stuff.

*Imrel skids in, late as usual, almost tripping over the askew welcome mat.*
Wah!
*Regains her balance and dashes over to the table in the corner, stopping just short of Rhia's chair. Her explanation tumbles out in a breathless rush.*
Came running as soon as I heard there was a meeting, sorry I'm late, only I was over in West March and I got delayed and of course then it starts raining...
*Glances around, now somewhat embarrassed, then clears her throat and quickly sits in the nearest empty seat.*
How far've you gotten?

We've gotten as far as Mirkwood wine and sausages on sticks *The Witch king shuffled uncomfortably in his seat before continuing.* As of today we have access to the site so we can start laying out the tables, putting up the marquees and general decoration of the place. We shall be needing as many helpers as possible especially since half the Orc army are down in Isenguard on a training and team building weekend.

I'm in. So's Rudi, if we need him. And if I can get him to cooperate for ten solid minutes for once.
*Looks a little awkward for a moment.*
Though you might remember I wasn't around for last year's festival, so I'm not sure of the layout. I mean, granted the tables are for food and such. But are there merchandise stalls, games?

*Wonders why he isn't in Isengard.* *Remembers that he was banned because the Orcs never wanted to be in the same room as him.* *Wonders if he'll be allowed to go there for the rest of the team-building activities just for fun.*
The only thing I recall about last year was mushrooms and several annoying Elves. And the Mordor Boys.
Should we do something very different or very similar this year?

*Witch King raised one eyebrow.*
Very different I think.
I think we should have a bouncer for starters - to keep all the rif-raff out.

Easily done. Get the Orc captains to take shifts. I mean, they deserve to take part in the festivities as well.
Some, anyway. *Scowls as he remembers one or two captains he would dearly have loved to demote but couldn't be bothered to. The paperwork, see.*
So I presume we'll need our army? Maybe I should go get them from Isengard.

No Jared I need you here. I'm not putting all the marquees up by myself again. *On second thoughts sending Jar to Isenguard wasn't such a bad idea. The wraith could spread the word about the festival to the residents there and perhaps steal a few bottles of the famous Legbuckler vodka while he was at it. With Jared out the way this also meant the Witch King had Palantir vision all to himself for a few days. He could watch the finals of the Miss Lothlorien contest without interruption, sarcastic comments and continous eye-rolling.* Well I suppose we could do with the army... I expect you back within two days..

also wonders why she isn't at Isengard but decides to keep quiet about it in case she was supposed to be there. Besides she didn't like the Isengarders.
I'll help put up some tents

*Rethinks argueing with Ringwraiths.*
Erm... Before I forget, had music been finalized? Only the Mushroomers have been desperate for a gig for a while. They might add some variety from all the sinister style groups that we've been hearing lately. Not that I don't love the Mordor Boys, of course.

We could... well, have a sort of "combined" band thing. I mean, bands go on tour together all the time. It won't kill the Mushroomers to share the stage with the Mordor Boys, no matter how high profile the latter is...
On second thought, it might be a tad dangerous if one of them stupidly decides to annoy the Mordor Boys.
Oh, good. I'll have the army back in two days. (ooc: logically it isn't possible, but what the heck.) I'll be off tonight, I guess.

(ooc- you have a winged beast don't you?)
Mushroomers can be the support act. If you want the Mordor Boys to play then I'm raising taxes as of next week. Grubhosh, get together as many of the remaining orcs as possible and head for the Shire green. There is much work to be done and little time.
