Hi! I'm Merriadoc Brandybuck, known as Merry. I'm mischevious and funny but cute. I have a nice cousin named Pippin who helps me steal mushrooms from Farmer Maggots crop. We stole three sacks of potatoe and four ears in the last two weeks. I come from Buckland in the Shire and I love pints of all sizes! I have very curly brown hair and a happy smile all day long because I had a yummy second breakfast. I always do! ;D

I left in search of a new life and planed on making that new life here.

I look 20 years of age, but am much older but I will not say how old I really am....

I have long blonde hair that goes past the middle of my back and it is usually pulled back so that its not in my face. I have very light skin and bright green eyes.
I usually wear a long light green dress that drags the floor/ground when I walk. I also wear a silver butterfly ring on my thumb and a silver flower necklace that my mother gave me when I was young. That is the only thing I have from my past.

Even though I may appear weak and helpless I am wery quick to pull my bow if necessary.......

History: Used be one of the high knights of Gondor, but got kicked out for a dishonourability and disobeying a direct order. They didn't want to but they had to go with protocol. he left and started exploring. He became a ranger. He is talented to fight two orcs at one time, but he can't take on more than two at a time... He is trying to improve that.

I left the land in search of a new life and new friends. I planed on making that new life here, and the new friends as well.

I look 18 years of age, and I am young for an Elf, But I have lost count as too how old I am.

I have shorter brown hair, it only goes down to my shoulder and it is usually pulled back in a clip so that it is not in my eyes and face. I have medium Skin and bright blue eyes.

I usually wear a very long blue dress that drags the floor/ground when I walk. I also wear a golden ring on my thumb and a white gold necklace that my sister gave me when I was a young child. Those are the only thing I have from my past.

I may appear weak and helpless and I am weak, but not to weak to protect my self. I don't like to use my bow much.

When I was young my mother died, and I was left in the care of my sister, who was also very young at the time. She had trouble rasing me, but she did well. Soon after she was killed by very powerful magic...

Ok this is really bothering me. Its Elf. Elves is plural, Elfin or Elven is a describing adjective, and I've read everywhere but no one, not even my friend -who thinks she is an Elf- spells it Elve except for Aamaall, Nienna, and Maali.... and you all three have near-identical intros... with almost the exact same structure as Allyson, who we all know was Elvenstar. It makes you think doesnt it.

I wasnt suggesting you should exclude anyone. I was mearly pointing out very interesting things I noticed and correcting her spelling so her post would be readable.

Well hmm lets see I have No fluking clue who Maali is and well if you notice Aamaal is no longer a member Duh*rolls eyes*!!!

and well when you use the word elf it makes you think of a short lil thing with green and red clothes on helping make toys !!! and When you use the Word ELVE it don't put that picture in your head!!!! and well I Don't like it for some one to still my work that i spent time on *mutters* Maali !!!!!

Elve isn't a word. Its not, spell check it, and it will be wrong and they will give you the option of Elf Elves or Elven. Its that simple. Its called grammar. All good writers use it. Along with punctuation, spelling, and content. If you are going to play a character I would suggest you learn a little bit more about them, and learn to spell. It is annoying to try and read threads where people add no content and aren't spelling even their race correctly.

The word Elf has never reminded me of 'santas helpers' When I think of an Elf I've always pictured Tolkiens version of an Elf. But then that's a matter of upbringing.

Tolkien has always used the word Elf and as this board is Tolkien related thats the spelling we use.

[Fox Birch]

[glow=darkgreen,2,300]Finbrethil is an elf of the northern realm of Greenwood the Great, or Mirkwood. Her family was close to that of king Thranduil himself and were often granted leave to travel to distant lands and back in search of truths behind or remnants of elvish songs and ballads. Finbrethil, or "silver birch," found that she much enjoyed travelling and embarked on her own quest with the king's son, Legolas. During their several-year-long quest, Finbrethil befriended many creatures of different races, always under the prince's watchful eye. She was named Fox Birch by the men of Rohan for her exceptional eluding and scouting skills. She learned to shoot from Legolas, and grew to be his most persistant and matchworthy rival. Fox learned much about the world and loved the prince very much.

Upon their return however, Fox was shattered to learn that her parents had been slaughtered by orcs. Her innocent perception of the world was replaced by one of cautiousness. She spend days on end practicing her fighting skills, now under the care of the king. Her normally cheerful and naive attitude was now veiled in pain.

Fox met few elves that could raise her spirits, among them Lomelindi. She was not of the sindarin realm but Fox found great comfort in their friendship nonetheless. They became very dear friends, even when Fox left Mirkwood in search for a ranger that she had mat on earlier travels.

Finbrethil is a highly active elf in her own way. She loves to shoot and to walk during the night. She is fascinated by the stars of Elbereth and often seeks her silent council in times of sorrow or confusion. Said to look more like Legolas' sister than his friend, she wears her silky blond hair in a similar fashion, has eyes of greenish-grey and near-identical raiment of greens and browns. She is often found alone or in the company of a good friend, her impulsiveness making it relatively difficult to keep up with. [/glow]
