*He forges ahead not saying anything. Taking the long root to avoid the river. They cross a bridge and the Witch King sets off at a mad gallop, riding recklessy through dense woodland.*

Legolas smiles to himself, galloping swiftly behind WK in an effort to keep at the same pace; he worries not about passing him, for the path becomes wide enough for the both of them.

*Gallops alongside Legolas, both horses enjoying the race. Trees loom up dangerously through the mist and vanish behind them as they eat up the ground. The Witch King suddenly veers off the path, plunging down a steep embankment, his horse skidding and sliding through the soft earth. He continues to urge it faster oblivious to the dangers.*

As they go down, the prince drops behind the Witch King to allow him more room. He follows closely, his stallion taking great care in his steps.

*They reach the lower road and head East. The horses slow to a gentle pace, having galloped off the first burst of energy. The woods seem to close in around them, the trees dense and overgrown, allowing very little light through. There is an eerie stillness to the place which seems devoid of life.*

His stallion becoming uneasy with this place, Legolas is forced to double his efforts in both reassuring the creature and controlling the result of his nervousness. He manages also to survey the area, taking notice of their trail as they pass. WK seems to have slown down to a fair walk and he eases up beside him, feeling they should not seperate too much.

*The Witch King looks up at the knarled and twisted branches forming an archway over their heads.*
I like to ride through here. It's so quiet..
* The only sound is the horses footfalls on the soft earth and the clink of chainmail.*
It's the only place I can think in peace.

Legolas looks curiously at the Witch King, his being glowing slightly in the dark. He says softly, his elven voice not disrupting of the silence around them.
You have much on your mind. What are you thinking?

*He turns to the Elf and laughs coldly.*
I have a great deal on my mind. . Do you think being the Lord of the Nazgul is easy? I have legions of Orcs to organise, plus the running of Minas Morgul and Lugburz and Sauron on my back constantly.
*His mood grows darker*
I never asked for any of this you know.

Legolas frowns as he hears his own feeling reflected in the Witch King, but says nothing of the matter. He looks ahead instead, his posture regal but his expression troubled. What could he possibly offer this creature...? He is tied to his fate as I am.

*They ride the rest of the way along the track in silence. Each lost in their own thoughts. They eventually emerge in a clearing where several trees have been felled. The Witch King urges his horse towards a large log and pops neatly over it. He turns round sharply to watch legolas.*

The prince dismounts and whispers softly to his horse, calming the creature. He takes a seat on a log so that he is able to face the Witch King but not directly, in case he would want some privacy in his thoughts. He notices the look WK is giving him and matches it fearlessly, his eyes questioning.

*His shoulders drop in visible disappointment.*
Aren't you going to jump it?

He raises an eyebrow in further question.
"Jump in...?"

*Waggles a bony finger at the log impataintly.*
The log! Will you not jump it?
*The next comment he added slyly, goading the Elf.*
Or will you fall off?
