Legolas smiles also and raises his eyebrows in query.
Where is it you are from, again?

Arching an eyebrow, he looks up at the question.
Harad. But I don't exactly stay there much.

He remains silent for a moment, as if recalling something. He looks back up at Shale and shakes his head.
I don't believe my travels have taken me there.
He glances down the table to the rest of the company and addresses Mel who is serving herself a plate.
Mel, are you in need of assistance?

*Looks at Mel oddly*
Who are you calling highness?
*Shakes his head at the wine and gestures towards the steep dark stairs at the back of the kitchen.*
Go down to the cellar. I have some bottles of Lagduf vodka I've been saving for a special occasion..
*Rubs his hands gleefully*

Legolas almost coughs in his soup at being addressed as royalty. He simply smiles at Mel as she hands him the wine.
Thank you, Melian.
The prince can't help but smile at the Witch King's enthusiasm. He looks about the table and realizes Shale is still staring at him with animosity. He clears his throat, but just continues with his soup.

* Rips off a chunk of bread and dunks it in his soup.*
So......er..
*He looks at the dark guest unable to remember their name, not sure they had even mentioned it, There is an awkward pause as he tries in vain to recall it.
So what news from the south? You said there were problems with the Mumakil?

Looks up, tearing his eyes away from the Elf.
A rampage. Several men wounded, a few dead. They sedated the beast, but now the others are getting agitated.
Casually glancing at Legolas, he makes a passing comment that is seemingly harmless... or at least he hoped so.
You should drop by sometimes. I'm sure they will be... honoured.

He looks up at Shale, his steely eyes not revealing in the least. The prince smiles and sets down his spoon.
Do you think? The last thing these people would need is a guest to take their attentions. Although, I would be honored indeed to lend a hand in their recovery. Perhaps you could introduce us sometime.
Legolas then looks back down at his food, his expression, again, unrevealing.

*snorts*
It would be a very brave Elf indeed, that visited the Haradrim.
*He tears off another strip of bread from the basket*
Or a very foolish one..

He looks up at WK, throwing only a distracted glance at Shale.
Is there such a fine line between courage and stupidity?

*Raises an eyebrow at Legolas*
You have to admit it would be sheer folly for you or any of your kind to walk openly through the streets of Harad. You would have a knife in your back before the sun had set.

He nods in belief, but not in understanding.
I'm afraid I have never ventured there... and I know not of its inhabitants or their customs.

And perhaps it would be better if you stay that way. The Haradrim people are very unpredictable. That is one of the quality valued by Sauron and his followers.
