So, who else is excited? ;D I've visited New Zealand in 2009/2010. We had the "Location Guidebook" and coincidentally, the Road Atlas we were given also had all the locations of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy marked. Of course we visited Matamata/Hobbiton. Definately a highlight of the tour to stand right in the middle of the original set. Had a very funny tour guide, too, who had lots and lots of interesting stuff to tell about the preparations ("This is a sheep farm with 20000+ animals. Naturally, folks wondered why the crew insisted to bring extra sheep. But PJ insisted on an old breed. So they were called the "stunt sheep"."), the filming and the aftermath when people found out where Hobbiton was. She also told us that she often had tours with with what she called "fanatics". They don't just dress up as their favourite characters (nothing wrong with that, I'd do the same) but also know precisely not only where e.g a tree was in the movies but also what species it was.... So the crews working there had a hell of a job getting everything in place again. I'm looking forward to see how they did. ;D Anyway, hope to see some of you again, soon, Rhia
