From the moment Eowyn heard about being watched, the shield maiden was in a small room closeby getting ready. Now Eowyn was almost done and looked into the mirror.
There stood a fair and pale girl in a long white robe girt with silver. The dress was elegantly dragging on the floor a few steps behind her. A small silver necklace with a horse which Eowyn had inherited from her mother, Theodwyn, was around her neck. The maiden's soft, golden hair was simply brushed and flowed over her shoulders and below her waist.
*Now for the slight make-up!* Eowyn thinks with a sigh as she opens a small midnight blue velvety bag. She takes out some shiny lip gloss in a shade of soft pink and applies it. She also adds a touch of pastel blue and white shadow to her eyes.
She then picks up the blush but quits the idea - she thought that "White Lady of Rohan" probably had a different meaning. ;D
Taking a final, self-conscious check, Eowyn puts on her white sandals and leaves to the wings of the catwalk...
*Standing behind Rhia ready to go next, Im also feel the cold. Unties the blue sash around her waist, unrolls it into a shawl, and drapes it over her shoulders. Mutters to Rhia.* You might want to go soon, the music's starting... Witchy and Jared will probably think up something...
" Don't worry Sam, they're man-eating sharks." "I know that, you know that, but do the sharks know that?"
Grubby lingered in the dressing room doubtfully looking at her reflection from the strappy pink sandles to the bow in her hair which was kind of brushed. She reached up and plucked out the bow she looked like she was bloody gift wrapped. Pausing to hitch up her dress a bit she scurried out to catch up with the others.
*Looks down the polished black marmor catwalk leading directly out into a large hall packed with orcs. Takes a first step and immediately regrets having not put more time aside for practicing with her high heeled boots. Keeps her smile although she slips slightly but regains her balance immediately. More confident, she slowly walks down the black path, turning and posing for the cheering crowd. Makes sure the poor buggers get a lifetime look at what they normally don't see at least not without a lot of furious screaming and kicking included.
Catches some of the rags, bone necklaces and dead black flowers with cute black ribbons tied around them that rain down on the catwalk. Mock kisses some of them and throws them back into the raging crowd. Pulls one of the necklaces over her head. Hands another one to a deeply blushing orc at one side. Walks on, pinning groping hands down with her boots, now glad again she had put them on. Does a final turn and ends up standing in front of the Jury* Gentlemen?
*Raises an eyebrow, considering the question for a moment. A date with the Witch King? Too blatant... Eternal peace for the world? Wrong place, wrong time, overused already....coughs, then quickly regains her smile* Well, wish number one: Surviving this evening... number two: A good sharp sword if it's going to be a close call.... number three: A free concert of the Mordor Boys for all those cute orcs here tonight!
*Her next sentence is lost in the cheers of the crowd....*
[glow=blue,2,300]^Lo leans against the wall doubled over, wiping her eyes strightens and claps whistling loudly and whispers to no one in particular^ And why would anyone *want* to top that, I dont think we could unless we walked out there naked. ::Giving WK a warning glare:: Dont even think about it[/glow]
nods in agreement with Lomelindi. She could never have as much confidence in front of that many horny orcs as Rhi. She just hoped she didn't come up with "world peace" for one of her three wishes. She was fairly sure she'd broken one of the un-written rules of being an orc by turning up in pink.
