Eowyn stops and eyes the Witch King from head to toe. "King Théoden told me to take a message to King Thranduil of the Wooden Realm. Alas! I do not know what the message inside is for I have sworn an oath not to open it..."
Eowyn then looks at the Witch King and adds, "I suppose your path isn't so different. Sauron used to hide here in these woods and he had some messengers as well. But he is nolonger in these lands and has gone someplace else. I believe you shouldn't stay here for too long, making a bad first impression on woodelves could prove dangerous!"

*Gives an evil laugh*
And why would you be concerned for my safety? Surely it is your safety you should be more worried about..

"I suppose you knew that a shield maiden is quite capable of taking care of herself." Eowyn says, still holding Waterwhisp's reins tightly in her slender hand...

Really? Even when she is completely alone with no hobbits to back her up?
*there is a long silence...*
Give me the message I'll deliever it. I'll get there quicker then you.

Eowyn puts a hand protectively on the pouch which contains the scroll of the message. "I do not know what it contains, but Theoden King has told me to say the following words: 'Greetings, King Thranduil of the Woodland Realm. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Eowyn, daughter of Eomund. My king, Theoden, son of Thengel wishes for you to read this scroll which contains important information holding the fate of the lands between Mirkwood and Rohan. I shall remain within these woods for a fortnight and you shall have the chance to decide within that time.' Now, Witch King, you cannot have the honor of delivering the message because I shall do it even if by my death!" Eowyn says defiantly.
She then glares at him coldly. "Have you heard nothing? A shield maiden can take care of herself! The company of allies is always a gain to have in every situation, though self reliance is not a gift which I was given; but something I earned rightfully!" The shield maiden says, eager to go on and deliver the message herself!

*A derisive snort sounds from within a cluster of bushes.*
Jeez, you foolish little girl, drop that honourable act. Just let the Witch-King deliver it. With Orcs and Ringwraiths running loose in this dingy wood, you'll be better off.
He can kill you if he wants anyway.

*Moves his formidable black stallion nearer to her growing in menace and stature. Her own horse, Waterwhisp, is of course, terrified and she is struggling to hold it still as it tries to bolt back the way it came. Towers over her, a black shadow of evil and hatred. She sees the glint of a morgul blade being drawn from out of the black robes.
Give it to me...
*Black breath fills the air*

(ooc - just a note to whoever is around the area right now... you can't avoid the black breath or not breathe whatsoever. it just has to be in the surroundings and you'll lose all courage and bravery. it's true. except that many Whiteskins, who love winning in every way, tend not to follow that because they always have that childish want to win all the time. quite tragic, actually.)

The black breath surrounds Eowyn and she decides to use her mind instead of her sword this time. She slowly opens the pouch in which many scrolls lay. Eowyn looks around and pulls one tied with a brown ribbon around it.
Waterwhisp begins to make a look of noises and prances about on his hooves. Eowyn is holding his reins as best as she could in one hand while her other hand is holding the scroll.
Pretending to have great reluctancy at turning it over, Eowyn begins to speak. "This is the message which has to be delivered." She says in a firm voice as she throws it at the Witch King. "Though if you can deliver it properly the act shall be beyond me!"
Feeling slightly dizzy but ignoring that pretty much, Eowyn takes Waterwhisp's reins and begins to ride towards further north where the elves lie, feeling pleased with her plan...

OOC: I'm not a foolish little girl. Never liked pink bunny rabbits or ballet dancing, Jared! A shield maiden is much different. Would rather wield a sword than put on lipstick anyday! And would rather ride a horse and carry a shield than a shopping bag full of perfume! Those "little girl" things are mere illusions!

Out of Character:
Yes, you are. You're 13 going on to 9.
Trickery won't work, you brainless little excuse for a Shield-Maiden. Any Nazgûl would have been able to spot the error immediately.
And by the way, you are breaking a very important rule in role-playing. You do not twist facts just so that you will win.
The Black Breath does not work that way. I have said it many times before. The Black Breath will cause all creatures to run and hide. Immediately. There will not be time for you to feel "slightly dizzy". You will either have keeled over or turned and disappeared.
You do not win all the time, Rohan-wench. There are times when you will have no choice but to succumb to the enemy's will.
To uphold your image as a good role-player.

Jared: With pride comes a downfall. Appearences can be decieving. So okay, the Witch King CAN get the message. So what? There has to be a balance. And if you know how to count properly, the number which comes after 13 is 14! Don't you see how many people are leaving the site? Abby, Elvenstar, Luthien/Arwen, many who joined without making a post? If someone tries to take all the power and only bosses and bullies others about, who would like to be here? There are many other boards and I'm still here because there used to be good company. Going along with a character (elf, Nazgul, shield-maiden, dwarf, etc.) can be a great thing to do and lots of fun; but when one tries to dominate the whole place things will just get NASTY! Do you want everyone to leave? If there were only Nazgul here you'd get bored to death! I've been on boards where there wasn't much variety and things were drop dead dull. Do you want this to happen? You big black bully!
Going through the forest, without the message; Eowyn suddenly feels as if stoping may be a good idea. Looking back and seeing that she is quite far from the Nazgul, she sees a bit cave nearby and decides to explore around. She gets of Waterwhisp and sees that he is frightened.
"There, there, just follow me..." Eowyn says as she holds his reins and walks in, hoping things would be alright...
