There is a distant sound.......hardly noticeable at first, a faint mumuring that blends into the surroundings. But it gets louder............nearer.
It is loud enough for the group to notice and takes their attention away from the ranger for a moment. It sounds like a low pounding, rhythmic noise but they cannot detect which direction it is coming from. As it becomes louder and clearer they realise it is the sound of something moving steadily towards them. It appears to be coming from behind them. Something moving along the road? All eyes are on the bend in the track just behind them, waiting to see what will emerge. The sound is clearly distinguishable now. It is marching feet. A mass of marching feet. An army on the move? But who's army?
Through the trees they see figures. Many black figures. Around the bend strides an Uruk-hai captain leading an army of 100 - 150? Uruk-hai. All armed and armoured.
Uh-oh ;D

*While still sprinting unsheathes his sword Anduril and once in a while he would cross in front of the line of Uruk-hai orcs and would kill at least 2.Continues to do this for quite a while*

This is sheer folly!  There is over a hundred of them and five of us. Either you severly underestimate the capabilities of the enemy or you have a death wish. I say we can outrun them on the horses. We need to go and get reinforcements from Rivendell. |
