*now riding beside Melody, Kessa looks at her* You're a sea nymph, or something of the sort, correct? *Kessa seems to not particularly like the thought of coming from the sea, since water is mostly her weakness* What's it like, traveling so far from the sea? (ooc: i suppose we're far from the sea, haha; aragorn, are you just antisocial or just don't like me?! haha j/k!)

ooc- the soldiers are all on horses. We wouldn't be mean enough to make them walk all the way to Amon-sul, esp. through rivers. Would we? *Rides alongside Kessa and chats to her, trying to forget about the cold* Melody isn't actually from the sea. Her home is by the sea and she knows all about it. The creatures, it's treasures and what lies in it's hidden depths. She understands the language of the sea. *Glances at Kessa from within her hood* Tell me, you're a ranger, have you ever seen the sea?

*shudders and her voice grows colder yet* Yes... Once, and I am sorry, but I hated it... *stares fixedly at Shez's neck, not likeing the memory at all* Have you?

come on rudi, you shouldn't slow down... *is beginning to fall back among the elf army.* come on rudi, hya! *kicks him sharply, and he reluctantly canters ahead.* i'm sorry, boy, but the more you move, the warmer you are... hey, let's catch aragorn and melody, shall we? *up to the challenge, rudi trots on, passing some of the faster elves, and areth, rhia, kessa and luthien.*

No I have never seen the se....OH! *Rudi goes thundering past* What was I saying? Oh yes the sea. I've heard many tales of it. Especially from Mel and I must admit it does fascinate me. But I'm sorry I brought it up. I can see that it's a painful memory for you and I won't pry further.

Hey, I don't know why everyone's rushing for the front. Haven't you seen those nice Elf soldiers back there. *They ride onwards, the valley dropping away behind them. Although it is icy cold, it is not snowing and the air is clear. Giving them good visibility as they head towards Trollshaws.*

No Firebird! Don't adjust anything, don't move anything. Sit tightly on that horse and keep your reins short. I'm not heading back into those woods for anyone!
*Grins at Firebird*

Please don't let it be a troll. *She grips her reins tightly, frozen to the spot. The undergrowth rustles again something large is coming towards them. Thinks about taking out her bow but there isn't time. A large wirey wolfhound bursts into the open and pads towards the riders. Huan! What are you doing here? *Looks embarrased and apologises to the group.* I'm sorry. It's my dog. He couldn't have been shut in when we left. I can't very well take him back. He'll have to come with us.
