Aw heck, I answered one just like this the other day. (Different situation though.)
He said "I will be poisoned."
If you don't get it, I'll explain later.

Sorry, yesterday was just one thing after another!
The riddle is:
As I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives. Each wife had seven sacks. Each sack had seven cats. Each cat had seven kittens. Kittens, cats, sack and wives, How many were going to St. Ives?
Hope you can answer it!

I have the right anser now it's 1 = me. but i like math (30th in my age in sweden ;D) so heres my way of doing it...
N= 1+7(1+7(1+7(1+7))) = 1+7(1+7(1+7¤8)) = 1+7(1+7¤57) N= 1+7¤400= 2801
Do you have another way?

7(wives) x 7(sacks) x 7(cats) x 7(kittens) =2401 2401 + 1(the man) + 1(me) =2403
Blame any error on my simple-minded math skills, lol.

You're correct, Balin! 1 is the answer. Only the "I" is going. The riddle did mention the man, his wives, the sacks, the cats and the kittens, but it didn't say that they were going to St. Ives.
Not like I've been to St. Ives (it's not in Rohan ;D) but now it's someone else's turn to post a riddle.
P.S. On which side does a bear have the most fur?
