"Mel, is thou alright?" Eowyn asks, taking Mel's hand...

Come on. We really ought to return to Bree so you two have a better chance of recovery.
*Smiles encouragingly as she brings the horses closer, holding the reins carefully.*

"Right," Eowyn says, managing to mount one of the horses. "My mare Raindew has ran away, and needs to be found; I'm greatly worried about that, though doubt whether it is the right time..."

*Makes sure Eo is steady, then helps Mel up onto the other horse.*
If she's smart, she probably will have traveled to the town, where she will be taken care of. We shall keep a look out for her.

"Thanks, Imrel," Eowyn says. She grips the reins of her horse and glances around. "I doubt there are enough horses for each of us to have our own. There is Jake and Mora, Rhia, Mel, you and me. Would you like to ride with me?"

That's alright, I can walk. We should probably get moving now.
*Takes up the reins of Mel's horse to lead it toward Bree as Jake goes to Eowyn to see if she needs any help with her steed.*

After riding through the forests, the companions had reached the Prancing Pony Inn in Bree, or what remained of it.
Eowyn manages to dismount her horse and looks around. The Inn is in shatters and the stables where the horses used to be are now empty. A rare tear almost falls down her cheek and Eowyn quickly brushes it away, wondering where Raindew could be.
Sounds of battle could be heard in the distance, though they were fainter than before, as if things were going to an end.
"We need to help finish this attack off." Eowyn tells her friends. "I think that the fighting is going on by the old windmill if I'm not mistaken. Otherwise, it seems as if the citizens of Bree and their allies have cleared the town of most of the evil. Should we go and help end this terrible war?"

(The eight/asterisk key on the keyboard keeps getting stuck, so I'm using the degree sign for now. Sigh.)
It shouldn't take much to drive the remaining Orcs from the town. I only hope all of the citizens are safe...
ºJake comes back in from returning the horses to the relative safety of the stables to get their strength back.º
I am quite sure all of the scouts returned from the woods to aid in the battle here. The sooner we get rid of the invaders, the sooner we can make sure all are accounted for.
Including Sarla and Papa... And Raindew.
ºSmiles comfortingly to Eowyn.º
We ought to go, now. Melian should stay put and recover. You may do the same, Eowyn, if you don't feel uo to fighting.
ºDraws her sword, eyes flashing briefly.º
Well, all who are coming, come now.
ºTurns on her heel, cloak swirling, and strides out of the door toward the sound of battle.º

Eowyn thinks quickly, her mind torn between what to do. The shieldmaiden refused to give into this war easily, yet she didn't want to leave Mel alone either. She crouches down besides the elf.
Mel seemed to be barely conscious and really quiet. Eowyn manages to drag Mel over to a grassy place and sets her down, then sits down besides her and watches over her.
*Hopefully I've made the right choice,* Eowyn thinks. *Mel needs help to recover, though I hope that the orcs remaining won't cause too much damage to this town!*
OOC: That's a real bugger! I dropped my laptop and got a small crack in the back of the covering the other day. It's still working, though my antivirus has expired as well. That's why I'm using the family computer, meaning I have to log in onto every site while I'm auto registered on the laptop. *sighs*

(I've gone! Eo, I thought you and Mel were in the Pony? But either way.)
*Reaches the battlesite with Jake and Rhia close behind. (Mora is staying behind with Eowyn and Melian.) Citizens, a few of them on horseback, are wielding swords, bows and arrows, axes, daggars and even wooden clubs, gradually pushing back the enemy. Remembering she brought her bow and arrows, Imrel sheiths her blade, pulls out her bow, fits an arrow to it and commences firing, picking off one Orc at a time.*

OOC: I thought the inn was almost burned down. Ooops!
BIC: Eowyn sits beside Mel on the grass, then suddenly hears some trotting of hooves in the distance. The shieldmaiden stands up and looks at what it could be. She suddenly realises that it is a horse, a brown horse...
*Please be Raindew!* she thinks to herself, hoping agianst hope...
