He smiles as they begin walking.
Really? I would think a lady such as yourself would have to fight off your escorts... but tell me, where is it I'm taking you? For I'm afraid I haven't the slightest idea of how to get there.

He thinks to himself, wondering what might be the best way to go. He wanted his companion to see nothing but the best of Mirkwood on their way home. The prince decides to take a path veering northwards, only a bit out of the way and well worth it. He smiles, satisfied with their route and turns back to her.
Tell me about your home, Grubby. I do not often travel to Mordor... His forehead wrinkles in thought, then he grins or at all, rather.

she grins
Lucky you,
She was still trying to work out why he was not rotting in one of lovley Lugburz's dungons. It was just as well for her she liked being with the elf.
It's a s*it hole, and that's being polite, most of what you see there is built with the blood of his snaga
Her lip curls up slightly at the word her eyes smouldering,
Half the lads would get out if they could, but what good would it do? without the eye we are nothing.
she had already said more than she'd ment to. The elf had a modest charming air about him that inspired trust.

He nods slightly, watching her as she described her home. A thought occured to him and he cleared his throat.
Well, home is home i suppose. The prince pats the hand on his arm, squeezing gently. But if you ever feel the need to get away, you're always welcome in Mirkwood. It would be an honor to have you.

She rests her head on his arm
Thank you,
she sucks her teeth thoughtfully
what's your home like then? I've only been there a couple of times

He smiles, walking slowly.
Well, it is mostly the same as what you see here. He nods toward the surrounding forest. But underground is where my father and I have the halls and most of the rooms. Wide stone chambers easily forgotten for the woods all around.
The prince looks around at the trees.
It is a peacful place, despite the ocassional danger. A good place to think in my opinion.

Underground? 'thought elves didn't like holes much?
She wasn't much worried that Legolas might be offended by her calling his fathers halls a hole she was too busy staring dubiously at a large cobweb. She was only scared of spiders that were bigger than her head, this cobweb looked like it had been made by a spider a lot bigger than her head. She remembered one of the reasons she didn't visit Mirkwood much. She looks over at Legolas. The elf didn't look worried.

He smiles warmly.
Yes, we do prefer the wide-open forests, but having our chambers deep underground leave the forest above us as untouched and intact as possible. We are always free to wander the woods as well, so long as we travel in pairs for protection.
The prince notices Grubby's apprehension at the spiderweb and squeezes her hand again.
They do not often attack. It is still day, and we have just come from an archery range. He smiles reassuringly. They would indeed be foolish to try anything in my precense.

He nods in understanding.
There are few who do. Would you like to leave here then? If we took to the south we could leave the forest much sooner...

He smiles fondly, nodding.
It is, as a matter of fact. I rather selfishly selfishly hoped to show you a bit more of my home, but i realize you should be getting to your own before dark. Come then.
Legolas leads her to the left, in hopes of getting out of the forest in a pair of hours.

That's ok
She said. Somehow the thought of getting back to her own kind wasn't exactly appealing, and it saddened her that she'd soon have to leave the elf. She looks at the slender elegant hand laid on her own. ' so alike yet so different' she thought.
can you sing?
She asked meaning 'can you sing for me?'.
