Day Six Is not that being defeated by last alliance is so bad, is not even that being reduced to a disembodied eyeball is so bad, although Visine would be a comfort. But whose bright idea was it to slice onions in here?

Yep, this place is dead.
A board can't run itself and unless it's members contribute on a regular basis it's can't keep going.
I still log in here most days to check if anyones posted but as I said previously I'm not prepared to run this board by myself. I put a lot of work into Eriador and it saddens me that it's members didn't think enough of it to keep it going. Maybe I made bad choices with who I trusted with the admin and moderator roles. It just seems impossible to find anyone dedicated enough to help me run this board. I don't expect much -just a post or two when your online on a regular basis, thats all.
I guess I sound rather bitter and twisted about it all. I'm just disappointed that the last LOTR movie is due for release in the very near future and this board is like a ghost town when it should be at it's busiest.

Well Witchy... I for one know I cried yelled and screamed for you to let me hold admin and have never got it...Which is almost understandable, with all my comings and goings. But it mostly saddens me to see the board in this state. This place was my safe place through a lot of troubling times... And I know its probably more then a little crazy to say something like that but it was. Most members here were like family to me for a long time. But I simply do not know what to say or do about the state of the board...

It doesn't sound crazy at all. After many a bad day I have been cheered up by reading posts on this board. Everyone who posted here was friendly and respectful to others and I miss the community spirit we created.
I've tried in the past to resurrect this board, to encourage new members to join and to think up new ideas to make Eriador a better place but with little success but I'm not ready to give up just yet.
Elvenstar, I'm making you an admin - as you've managed to not delete yourself for quite a while now:P
I hope that together we can make a difference and get Eriador back on its' feet again.

believe me, I'm the first to understand you after all the work I put into Rivendell - and couldn't keep it from failing. Anyway, I haven't left for good, not at all. ;D. I'm still here.
Unfortunately time is a limited ressource and I'm burried in RL work and responsibilities. Right now I'm all alone taking care of a diploma student because my boss left for a 2 month research trip to Norway (so at least she is having fun ;D ;D ;D). This is the first time I'm doing this - besides my own experiments. Whatever time I can spare is mostly spent sleeping - or at least trying to relax. On the other hand it's a great experience, too ;D ;D ;D and I do appreciate that my boss has trusted me with this. So this is quite ambiguous...
Anyway, as I said, I'm still around.

Good for you Rhia. I'm really pleased that you're doing so well. Keep us informed of how you're getting on. ;D
I understand your situation too. I'm constantly trying to juggle work and still find time for the things I enjoy doing which isn't easy, especially at this time of year.
I hope you understand when I get in one of my rants it's never aimed at you. You've always kept us informed about you're situation and I know you drop by when you can.

hello, I got the mail thanks a lot whoever sent it (I'm thinking witchy). I thought this place was totaly dead I'd deleted it off my favourites 
but I'm glad to be back! (at least it keeps me off the dodgy fanfic which is what i've being doing in the meantime)
